Sometimes in Texas
it forgets to rain for a while

Until enough prayers build up
behind the dam and all hell breaks loose

And with all the noise of lightning and
thunder and cows and cars floating by
it takes a quite a while for heaven to hear
preachers on the rooftop wailing woe and Whoa!
